Nathan is driven by a deep conviction that the local church is God’s primary instrument for mission in its community. His work sits at the intersection of local mission and change leadership: helping pastors strengthen their churches’ capacity for outward-facing, disciple-making life - and leading the changes required to get there.
Based in Nelson, Nathan lives with his wife, Rosey, their teenage daughters, Ruby and Eva, a rambunctious puppy named Lola, and Sidney, the timid moggy.
The church has shaped Nathan’s life from the beginning - his dad and grandad were both Anglican ministers - and he has served as a youth pastor in both Baptist and Anglican contexts, including two seasons within the Nelson Anglican Diocese.
From 2013–2016, Nathan and his family lived in South Asia with NZCMS, where he worked alongside formerly trafficked women in a social enterprise setting. That season deepened his belief in local, incarnational mission and the need for courageous, grounded leadership.
Nathan offers coaching and reflective supervision for pastors and church leaders across Aotearoa. He is particularly passionate about helping leaders:
Nathan holds a Master’s in Faith-Based Leadership and Management (with a thesis on how Kiwi congregations navigate change), Coach Mastery certification with Arrow Australia (ICF credentialed), and a CAIRA certificate in Professional Supervision.
